Biography
Zeropunk, an electronic rock act for the 21st century. Originating from Hertfordshire, UK, producing futuristic heavy electronic rock.
“It was the year 2007, in which we crash-landed our time machine into the deep forests of Hertfordshire, England. Having travelled from the year 2105, we accidentally hit a worm hole on our journey through time, which led us to being sent to a year much earlier than our co-ordinates originally showed. We’ve come from the future on a mission to bring the world a new brand of music and we are under the instruction to speed up the process of music’s evolution. We are currently hiding in the forests of Hertfordshire from the evil man-sharks that are raiding the music scene in order to destroy all that is original…”
…or so we’d like to think!
Here’s the story so far: Born in 2007, the year the music industry saw as ‘Year Zero’: a year in which the industry decided to change its many tactics, according to the critics, the music press, as well as artists. When people ask the band what their name means, to clarify this, they advise to think of it as ‘Punk of the Zero-Age’. Zeropunk is a futuristic electronic rock band made up of artists who want to see a change in the sound of modern rock music. A change that will bring a facelift to the basic guitar, bass and drums formula of today, by taking influences from popular electronic music genres. The band started out as a three-piece, playing shows in and around London, and are now looking further afield to promote their music. The band released their self-produced 12-track debut album via Futurebound Records, on December 5, 2009, available as CD and digital download.
